The Blonds

Oggi voglio parlare del duo di stilisti newyorchesi "The Blonds", composto da Phillipe Blond e David Blond. I due stilisti hanno cominciato animando le serate dei locali più trasgressivi di New York fino a quando nel 2004 decidono  di portare i loro abiti di scena in passerella. Le loro collezioni hanno subito destato l'attenzione di Patricia Field, famosa costumista di Sex and the City, di  celebrities come Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga e Katy Perry.

Today I want to talk about two new york fashion designers named "The Blonds". They are Phillipe Blond and David Blond. The two designers started working for the most transgressive clubs in New York until in the 2004 they decided to bring their costumes on the catwalk. Their collections attract the attention of the famous sex and the city stylist Patricia Field, and celebrities such as Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

Even when Madonna has to imitate

Dopo aver visto il nuovo video di Madonna "Girl gone wild" ho notato che perfino lei è costretta a imitare i video delle sue colleghe. La prima cosa che si nota è la forte somiglianza con il video "Alejandro " di Lady Gaga, video in bianco e nero dove come protagonisti troviamo uomini che indossano decolletè. Nel video di Madonna i ballerini non solo indossano decolletè ma anche collant e questo mi ha fatto subito pensare al gruppo "Kazaky ", gruppo di ballerini ucraini che si distinguono per utilizzare capi femminili (scarpe col tacco e collant per l'appunto). Per il suo video Madonna ha preso spunto anche da "Single Ladies" di Beyonce, copiandone l'uso del bianco e nero, la pettinatura e la compagnia dei ballerini. Infine, Madonna si è "ispirata" a un interludio del concerto di Lady Gaga ( essendoci stata me lo ricordo bene) che vi mostro qui sotto.

After seeing the new Madonna video "Girl gone wild" it seemed to me that even she copies the videos of others popstars. First thing: strong similarity with the video "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga, a black and white video where we find men  wearing pumps. In Madonna's video  dancers wear pumps and pantyhose, this made me think about "Kazaky", a group of ukrainian dancers who wear women's clothing (such as pumps, pantyhose). For this video Madonna has copied Beyonce's Single Ladies video, with the black and white and the hairdo.
Finally, Madonna was inspiried by an interlude of Lady Gaga (I was there I remenber very well) that I'll show you.

Inspiring Women

Oggi, 8 marzo 2012, festa della donna, voglio dedicare questo post alle donne dello spettacolo che stimo di più  per bellezza e per bravura nel proprio lavoro. In primis Lady Gaga, che ha portato avanti il suo sogno di diventare cantante senza ascoltare chi la invitava a lasciar perdere, Beyonce, per la sua voce e per come è orgogliosa delle sue curve, Angelina Jolie per la sua sconfinata bellezza e per la sua bravura nell'interpretare ruoli drammatici, Meryl Streep, per come a 63 anni risulti ancora bellissima e non abbia ceduto alla chirurgia plastica, Franca Sozzani (direttore di Vogue Italia), per come ha portato nel mondo l'eccellenza della moda italiana, Rachel Zoe, stylist delle star, per come ha lottato per molti anni per essere la migliore nel suo lavoro, Bianca Balti, che stimo per la sua bellezza e per come negli anni sia rimasta una ragazza con i piedi per terra e Nina Zilli, convinta femminista che si schiera contro la donna oggetto.

Today 8 march 2012, Woman's day, I want to dedicate this post to showbiz women that I admire the most for their beauty and for their skills at work. First Lady Gaga, who has carried on her dream to becoming a singer by not listening people that tell her to give up, Beyonce, for her voice and for being proud of her curves, Angelina Jolie for is huge beauty and for her skill in interpreting dramatic roles, Meryl Streep, who is 63 and she is still beautiful and she hasn't succumbed to plastic surgery, Franca Sozzani ( editor in chief), for carrying  in the world the excellence of italian fashion, Rachel Zoe, star stylist, for fighting during the years to become the best in her job, Bianca Balti, woman that I admire for her beauty and  for remaining a simple girl and Nina Zilli, italian singer, great feminist who is against the woman as an object.
